Telephone Buddy Volunteer (Cancer Support Programme
The Staffordshire Cancer Support Programme (CaSP) provides support to adults affected by cancer, living with and beyond a diagnosis. This includes the person with a diagnosis, their spouse, partner, relative, friend or neighbour. Our service covers the whole of Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent.
While we are unable to offer face to face visits at the current time due to the Covid 19 outbreak, we are adapting our service to provide telephone befriending support and we need more volunteers to help us during this period of exceptional need.

Our Telephone Buddy volunteers need to be:
• Good listeners
• Committed to supporting someone with cancer
• Able to recognise boundaries and respect confidentiality
• Reliable, honest, friendly, compassionate
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team

This is a role that can be undertaken from your own home. We have changed our recruitment process so that everything can be done via telephone and email.
